Twin Oak Group Inc. is the self-incorporated identity of Bill Nobes. Bill began his professional career in 1986 with Digitech Telecommunications, a New York-based computer security firm. He designed encryption software for JP Morgan’s first at-home-banking system and received an award of commendation from the National Bureau of Commerce for his work on that Agency’s remote data encryption verification system. He also designed and authored a personal data encryption product that was sold in retail stores nationwide.
In 1989 Bill founded EB-Tide Multimedia, a design and multi-media company. He created networking software to interconnect multiple platforms and leverage the advantages of each, yielding a powerful multimedia production center. EB-Tide performed design work for MetLife, Apple Bank, Kmart and New York Life among others.
In 1992 Bill was engaged by the New York Times Magazine Group to create and lead a new in-house ad/promo department that could meet the needs of its national sales force. His innovative technology and project management solutions reduced lead times from weeks to hours and drastically reduced costs. In addition to his role as senior designer he provided seminars on design for junior staff members and helped introduce video and multimedia into the organization’s sales materials mix.
In 1999 Bill joined Miller Freeman/CMP as a Lead Programmer/Technology Specialist where he re-engineered the company’s nationwide asset archiving system. He also designed and executed training programs, which allowed the company to move certain pre-press operations in-house and realize significant cost savings.
In 2001 Bill founded Twin Oak Group, inc -- a small firm which provides design, marketing, application development and technology consulting services to a wide range of companies. Bill’s web-based applications have been used by Atlantic Records, Teen People Magazine, Kraft Foods, and Victoria’s Secret.
As a consultant Bill also serves as Director of Technology for Body Health Resources Corporation, arguably the world’s largest compendium of AIDS/HIV information on the web today, and as Chief of Technology for The Agema Group, a financial services firm.
In the not-for-profit realm Bill serves as webmaster for sevenstoriesinstitute.com, virtuallyadvising.com and northhanover.us, he has been appointed to and serves on North Hanover’s Land Use Board and Economic Development Committee, and owns-and-operates Victory Farm (www.victoryfarm.org), a non-profit farm which donates 100% of gross sales to local charities.

Bill has served as Stage Manager for several off-broadway productions most notably those of the Ridiculous Theatrical Company and the Obie Award winning post-modern dance series Martha@. On the music stage he has worked with artists such as Deborah Harry, Patti Smith and Richie Havens among many others.
